Action4schools will be celebrating UN World Water Day 22nd March 2017 (http://www.worldwaterday.org/) by getting into action and raising funds to provide a new water well in Sierra Leone. An estimated 3 million people (yes…. that is half the population of Sierra Leone) do not have access to clean, safe water in Sierra Leone today ! Shocked ? Want to do something about it? World Water Day is about taking action to tackle the water crisis. Today, there are over 663 million people living without a safe water supply close to home, spending countless hours queuing or trekking to distant sources, and coping with the health impacts of using contaminated water. There are 3 million people in Sierra Leone that do not have access to safe, clean water, that’s a staggering 50% of the population !
