We have been partnering WellFound UK https://www.wellfound.org.uk/ since 2020. Wellfound UK have local skilled staff who supervise and maintain the wells and ensure that they are kept in good working order. Sustainability and ownership are key words which allow long term access to clean, safe water in the many communities that we have worked with. We have provided so many life changing water wells in remote remote villages in the region of Moyamba, Sierra Leone, with your support we have changed the lives of thousands of villagers who would otherwise have to rely on drinking and using dirty, contaminated open water sources such as an swamps and streams. IN MEMORY OF HOWARD MEASHAM (Founder of Wellfound UK) 1927-2024
We would like to remember and celebrate the life and efforts of our late friend Howard Measham who at the age of 75 years set up an amazing water charity Wellfound UK. Yes you heard right… 75 years, when many are slowing right down Howard sparked into action to provide water to villages in Africa. Wellfound are our trusted partners in Sierra Leone and they also provide clean, safe water in Guinea-Bissau. Howard passed away in 2024 and he worked tirelessly and selflessly until his last moments, well into his 90’s. He was a remarkable man of steel, determined to bring hope and light to thousands of needy people. Howard changed and saved so many lives and we remember him fondly and celebrate his incredible humanitarian efforts. Fly high my friend, rest in peace, thank you for your friendship, your spirit, your inspiration, your faith and the life lessons, we will continue your mission as promised.
